Kelsey Woods, MS
I am a clinical extern working under the supervision of Drs. Tana Clarke, Ph.D. and Melissa Hendricks., Ph.D. My clinical experience includes the assessment and treatment of a wide range of disorders in children and adolescents including ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and mood disorders. I use a developmental biopsychosocial framework to holistically understand each client’s strengths, weaknesses, and presenting concerns. I flexibly use evidence-based behavioral and cognitive-behavioral treatment approaches to help clients learn skills to improve their socioemotional wellbeing.
I am a doctoral candidate and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow in clinical psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. I have trained in a variety of settings including Children’s National Medical Center, community centers, private practices, and university-based psychology clinics and treatment research labs. I have been an author on multiple journal articles, book chapters, and conference presentations on the topics of ADHD, emotion regulation, executive functioning, parenting, and selective mutism. I am an avid consumer of research and use it to inform treatment and assessment.
My life outside of the office
I have called Maryland home since 2003. In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, photography, baking, and watching Ravens and USWNT games. My happy place is looking out at the ocean with a good cup of coffee, and I head to the beach whenever I get a chance.
Kelsey works in the Annapolis office on Wednesdays and the Severna Park office on Thursdays.
