Professional Experience

I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University at Albany, in Albany, New York in 2006.  I received my medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now known as the Sidney Kimmel Medical College) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2010.  I completed a psychiatry internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  I completed my general psychiatry training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt program in Baltimore, Maryland in 2013. I completed my child and adolescent psychiatry training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland in 2015. While at Johns Hopkins I also treated children with autism and other developmental disabilities at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Following completion of my training, I worked for Anne Arundel Medical Center helping to establish child and adolescent psychiatry services.  I worked in Anne Arundel Medical Group's Mental Health Specialists office seeing patients ages 3 and up.  I also helped to establish and open Anne Arundel Medical Center's Psychiatric Day Hospital where I was the lead psychiatrist for adolescents ages 12-17.  While at Anne Arundel Medical Center, I also gave multiple educational lectures to hospital staff and others in the Annapolis community.
