I am a Psychology Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Chandler McLemore. My clinical experience includes the assessment and treatment of a wide range of disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults including ADHD, anxiety disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and mood disorders. I use a developmental biopsychosocial framework to holistically understand each client’s strengths, weaknesses, and presenting concerns. I flexibly use evidence-based behavioral and cognitive-behavioral treatment approaches to help clients and families learn skills to improve wellbeing.
I completed my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park where I was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. I trained at several local, nationally recognized institutions including the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Children’s National. I have authored multiple journal articles, book chapters, and conference presentations on the topics of ADHD, emotion regulation, executive functioning, parenting, and selective mutism. I am an avid consumer of research and use it to inform my treatment and assessment practices.
My life outside of the office
I grew up in Howard County and recently moved to Annapolis. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my beagle-mix, playing sports, photography, baking, and watching football and soccer. My happy place is looking out at the ocean with a good cup of coffee, and I head to the beach whenever I can.
Dr. Woods works in the Annapolis location and provides telehealth services.
