Sereta Noell, MS, LMSW

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. Experienced in working with adolescents and adults, specifically through individual, family and group therapy. I’ve worked in school settings, hospital settings and the community. Experienced in addressing a range of behavioral, emotional and cognitive concerns/needs, including but not limited to ADHD, anger management issues, anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, low self-esteem/self-worth, self-harm and family related issues. Throughout my whole life I’ve had a passion for helping others, which is what led me to where I am today. You can expect a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach and psychoeducation in sessions, along with the inclusion of Play Therapy techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based, Trauma-Responsive and Mindfulness Practices, to meet the various needs of clients. Throughout my career as a social worker, a continuous motivator is the notable resilient nature of people. I view every person as being on their own individual journey and I am honored to have the privileged to walk beside them during part of that journey.

Professional Experience

I obtained my Master of Social Work Degree at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, with a specialization in mental health. My undergraduate work was completed at Salisbury University, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Psychology. While in my masters program I worked for hospice, during that time I developed the skills to be well-versed in grief and bereavement counseling. I worked closely with terminally ill clients and provided therapeutic support to their friends and family members experiencing anticipatory grief, bereavement and individual grief processes. In 2015, I jointly developed and launched a Health Home Program at Partnership Development Group. This program’s focus was on adolescent and adult health and wellness. Through this program I provided individualized services, aiding and empowering clients to meet their health related goals and co-led health-based group sessions.

My Life Outside of the Office

I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends while also balancing things out with some quiet time for myself to watch a favorite show or read. I love animals, being outdoors and hiking.
