II have my masters in social work and practice under the supervision of Charlene Van Nest, LCSW-C, offering services to the adolescent and adult populations. I utilize a strengths-based and person centered approach to all the work I do with my clients to help promote their healing throughout the therapeutic process. I believe in meeting my clients where they are and strive to create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone. I utilize multiple therapeutic modalities including solution focused, family systems, attachment, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure response prevention, and narrative therapy.

Professional Experience

I have a master’s in social work from George Mason University and my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from BYU-Idaho. After graduating with my undergrad I worked with adults diagnosed with various development disabilities as a service coordinator in Idaho. This position helped solidify my passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically sexual trauma. I then transitioned into working in Child Welfare in Utah, and later Maryland, where I worked with highly traumatized children, teens, and families during crisis and transition. I have worked with clients to help process complex trauma, particularly sexual trauma and religious trauma, abuse, emotional and physical neglect, anxiety, depression, OCD, family separation, and grief.

I am an LGBTQIA2S+ ally.

Life Outside the Office

I moved to Maryland a few years ago and love it. Most of my time is spent reading, baking, spending time with family, or going to the beach. I have always enjoyed sports, I grew up playing tennis and watching professional hockey. A life long goal of mine is to visit all the professional hockey arenas with my dad and sister.
