With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I am a dedicated master’s level clinician and a licensed psychology associate under the supervision of Dr. Allyson Kett. I hold onto the belief that “The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” – a quote by Carl Rogers that reminds me why I do the work and why the journey matters as much as the outcome.

Professional Experience

I am an aspiring clinical psychologist with a passion for understanding the human mind and helping others to grow. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stevenson University and my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. Currently, I’ve come full circle and am back at Stevenson University furthering my expertise by pursuing my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, anticipating graduation in 2029. My professional journey has included working in diverse settings such as individual therapy of, inpatient units, and correctional facilities, allowing me to support children and adults across a wide range of needs and backgrounds. I strive to create a supportive environment grounded in empathy, compassion, authenticity, and encouragement, helping clients to feel seen, heard, and empowered. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Psychodynamic, and Existential frameworks.

Life Outside the Office

I live in Harwood, MD and frequently enjoy engaging in a mix of creativity and adventure. I enjoy roller skating, reading, cooking, drawing/painting, traveling, being in nature, and the occasional thill-seeking activity (roller coasters, skydiving, cliff jumping). I love animals and spending time with my family; I have two cats, Toulouse and Salem, and a turtle, Frankie, and see my family on a regular basis for birthday parties, cookouts, and small Sunday gatherings.
