I am a Licensed Psychology Associate in Maryland and doctoral intern working under the supervision of Drs. Tana Clarke and Suzanne Linkroum. I am completing my Ph.D. at Gallaudet University. In individual therapy, I mainly draw from psychodynamic, cognitive- behavioral, and humanistic orientations. With couples, I often utilize the Gottman Method and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). Moreover, I seek to explore the what (the content of the issues the individual or couple is experiencing) and the how (how they make sense of, interpret, and contend with these issues). I consistently seek feedback from clients about what is and is not working throughout treatment and adjust accordingly.
The presenting concerns of clients I see typically include, but are not limited to, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship issues, life transitions/adjustment disorders, work-related stressors, grief, self-esteem, and depression. I enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ+ and disability communities, and, above all, my greatest passion is working with couples.
Professional Experience
Over the past few years, I have worked at several university counseling centers – namely, Gallaudet University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Towson University’s CAPS, and American University’s Counseling Center. Most recently, I completed an externship at a private practice in Washington, D.C. Aside from providing short- and long-term individual and couples therapy at these sites for hearing as well as deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, I administered psychological assessments; conducted intakes; and led workshops. I have also served as an adjunct instructor in Gallaudet University’s undergraduate psychology department.
Life Outside the Office
In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, going bowling, playing ping-pong, working out, and spending time with my partner, friends, and family.
Connor starts his psychology internship at Waypoint in August 2025. He works in the Linthicum location, and he also will provide telehealth services. He will be credentialed with CareFirst insurance.
