I am a Licensed MD Psychology Associate and doctoral intern working under the supervision of Drs. Suzanne Linkroum and Tana Clarke. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who feel “stuck” due to life challenges such as sudden changes, anxiety, trauma, or loss. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where you can explore what makes you unique, the difficulties you are currently facing, and the strengths that have helped you persevere. My subspecialty is neuroaffirming care, with a focus on building emotional regulation and executive functioning skills to support adaptive, meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical strategies that enhance daily functioning and overall well-being.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely understood. I have a deep curiosity about people—their life experiences, perspectives, cultural values, and the challenges they have overcome. I believe in the importance of recognizing both what makes each person unique and the shared human experiences that connect us all.
I prioritize building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship where we work together, side by side, toward overcoming challenges and achieving personal goals. I approach difficulties through a behavioral lens, examining the factors that motivate and reinforce behaviors, as well as the contingencies that maintain them. When appropriate, I support
clients in developing the insight and courage to shift these patterns. In addition, I integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques, collaborative problem-solving, and exploration of past relationships and experiences to support meaningful and lasting change.
Professional Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology, with dual concentrations in Developmental Psychology and Biopsychology, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Applied Counseling at the University of Baltimore and fulfilled certification requirements in Applied Behavior
Analysis through Florida Institute of Technology. I am currently completing my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) at Stevenson University, where I also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. My research interests include communication, adaptive functioning, personality development, transition into adulthood, neuroaffirming care, and autism spectrum conditions. My dissertation examines the relationship between communication and
behavioral challenges.
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), in addition to holding a Psychology Associate license. I have over twenty years of experience in the mental health field, including leadership roles overseeing behavioral services across all acute inpatient units
within two psychiatric hospitals and directing an outpatient autism diagnostic center. I also provide clinical supervision to master’s-level clinicians and licensed graduate professional counselors working toward full licensure. In addition, I have contributed to several research consortiums, presented at national conferences, and served as a guest editor for a peer-reviewed academic journal. My doctoral externship training has focused on psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions across diverse settings, including inpatient units, school systems, and residential treatment centers, serving individuals across the lifespan.
Life Outside the Office
I greatly value spending quality time with my family, whether that involves shared activities, relaxed gatherings, or simply being present together. I also have a deep appreciation for travel, as it allows me to explore new environments, experience different cultures, and broaden my perspective. Alongside this, I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and building connections, as I find learning from others to be both personally and professionally rewarding. I also enjoy attending live music events and concerts, where I enjoy the energy and sense of community that comes with those experiences. I’ve also been known to get immersed in television shows and video games which I approach as both a source of relaxation and a way to stay mentally engaged, ensuring I maintain a healthy balance between productivity and leisure.
