If you have ever wondered if you or your child’s struggle to manage minor changes, sensory sensitivities/preferences and social skills could actually be an ASD diagnosis, Waypoint Wellness Center is now offering ASD screenings! ASD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties with language and communication, social relationships and emotional responses, and sensory use and interests. It can look different depending on age and gender.
Our screenings are open to all ages (PreK through Adult)
The screening appointment will be one hour long, and includes a battery of standardized tests, consultation, and recommendations from a qualified psychologist. You will receive an evaluation performance sheet that illustrates the standardized assessment results compared to others your age/grade. Your results could result in an official ASD diagnosis, or may signal potential markers for Autism Spectrum Disorders which may warrant additional assessment.
This is a screening and may not result in an official ASD diagnosis. If your results are inconclusive, you can use the information to determine if a full psychological evaluation is warranted. If you would like to move forward with additional assessment, the $260 intake fee will be waived if you schedule within one month of the date of the screening.
